Alan Yentob, Imagine, Cornelia Parker. Much more informative than exhibition at Tate Britain!

Walter Sickert at Tate Britain, Jonathan Jones review, Guardian newspaper. Great exhibition but way too many paintings and way too many visitors. This is the exhibition that I would like to revisit.

Cornelia Parker at Tate Britain, Laura Cummings review, Guardian newspaper. The only part of this exhibition that I found impactful was the exploded shed. The rest of it was a bit ‘so what?’

Hew Locke at Tate Britain, Adrian Searle review, Guardian newspaper. Very impactful and well put together but once seen I never need to see it again! A spectacle to behold.

Amazing book about various chalk localities. The explanatory diagrams are works of art!

Perseid viewing last night, spoilt by the, almost full, moon. But I did spot x4 between 10pm & 11pm, two of which were exceptionally bright.

Nice flint fossil sponge, partly chipped exposing the soft core.

This is possibly the strangest flint specimen that I have ever found. It shows features of being a fossilized sponge but looks as if an offset slice has been cut off with a knife. Fracturing and rehealing must have occured post lithification. Specimens found near Osmoy St Valery.

Flint collected from small chalk pit near Osmoy St Valery. This is a good place to collect fossils sponges. This sample has a strange, rough patch on the upper left side of the specimen and also fine striations, especially on the lower centre.

A grassy field in Normandy with puff balls/ rounded flints scattered about. Did I see it or was it a dream? I need to go back.
